AB composite panel
Bangyuan’s independently developed composite insulation board features an A‑side made of expanded polystyrene beads as the core insulating material. An inorganic fire‑retardant slurry is uniformly coated around the beads through a mixing process, then pressed and steam‑cured to produce a homogeneous panel with a Class A fire‑performance rating. This innovative insulation board is further finished with a nano‑scale radiant coating applied to all six surfaces. The B‑side consists of an insulating core—either graphite‑enhanced expanded polystyrene or graphite‑enhanced extruded polystyrene—which is bonded into a composite structure using a specialized adhesive. Integrating fire resistance, thermal insulation, and decorative functions, this product eliminates the need for on‑site lamination and can be installed directly, making it an upgraded solution for exterior wall insulation systems.
Performance Metrics
1. Fire Performance: Overall Grade A2
2. Surface density: ≤13 kg/m²
3. Tensile bond strength: Original strength ≥ 0.10 MPa, water-resistant strength ≥ 0.10 MPa, freeze–thaw resistance strength ≥ 0.10 MPa.
4. Impact resistance: ≥10 J (for a 300 mm × 300 mm specimen)
5. Flexural Performance: Flexural failure load ≥ 1.5 times the self-weight
6. Water absorption: ≤10% (after 24-hour immersion)
7. Freeze–thaw resistance: After 25 freeze–thaw cycles, no delamination or spalling occurs.
8. Thermal conductivity (core material): ≤0.038 W/(m·K)
Scope of Application
It is used as an insulation layer in residential buildings, public buildings, commercial buildings, and for energy‑saving retrofits of existing structures.
Product Advantages
1. Excellent fire resistance: Class A2 combustion performance, meeting stringent fire safety standards and eliminating the need for additional firebreaks.
2. High construction efficiency: Prefabricated in the factory and installed directly on site, reducing the construction period by more than 40%.
3. Consistent quality: Standardized factory production eliminates on-site variability in composite performance, such as poor adhesion or hollow-sounding areas.
4. High level of integration: combines thermal insulation, fire protection, and decorative finishes into a single system, reducing construction steps and lowering on-site management costs.
5. High adaptability: The core material can be easily replaced to meet project-specific requirements, providing flexible solutions for diverse thermal insulation needs.
Instructions for Use
1. Substrate Preparation: The substrate must be smooth (deviation ≤ 5 mm/2 m), clean, and primed with an interface agent to enhance adhesion.
2. Layout and Setting Out: Mark horizontal and vertical control lines according to design specifications to determine the installation positions of the panels.
3. Bonding Installation: Use a dedicated bonding mortar and apply it using the frame‑point method, with 6–8 bonding points per square meter and a bonding area of at least 40%.
4. Joint Treatment: The panels are joined using a tongue-and-groove connection, with joint gaps no wider than 1 mm, and the joints are filled with a specialized sealant.
5. Anchoring and Fixing: Install stainless steel anchor bolts 24 hours after application; the anchor bolt density shall be no less than 6 per square meter, and the anchor bolt heads must be treated with an anti-corrosion coating.
6. Decorative Finish: The surface of the inorganic panel can be directly coated with exterior paint or fitted with exterior wall tiles (subject to roughening treatment).
