I. Type IV panels for the true-stone paint finish exterior wall insulation system are a type of exterior wall fire-resistant insulation system composed of BY slurry-based composite insulation boards.
Type IV panels are insulation boards manufactured by applying interface mortar to both sides of a vacuum insulation panel substrate. They are primarily used for exterior wall insulation in high-rise and super-high-rise buildings, with an insulation system lifespan that matches that of the building structure. Installation methods include jointed application, grouting, and full-bonding, with a coverage rate of 95%. Their key advantages include resistance to detachment, cracking, water penetration, and leakage at board joints, as well as strong performance in withstanding wind pressure, fire resistance, and the ability to accommodate uneven wall surfaces.
II. Five Characteristics of the BY Slurry Fire-Resistant Composite Insulation Board External Wall Insulation System:
1. In terms of economic benefits, this approach reduces costs for investors: no plastering is required on the base layer, there is no need to install fire-rated windows or design firebreak zones, and waterproofing of the exterior wall base layer is unnecessary, resulting in savings of approximately RMB 50 to 150 per square meter.
2. In terms of quality, the system is leak-proof, does not delaminate, requires no maintenance throughout its service life, and has a lifespan equal to that of the building structure itself, essentially resulting in zero complaints from owners related to thermal insulation.
3. In terms of construction schedule, the exterior wall substrate does not require mortar plastering for leveling, nor does it require waterproofing, thereby saving the investor and general contractor approximately one month of construction time!
4. In terms of space savings, the BY insulation system is 2 centimeters thinner than conventional insulation systems, resulting in a minimum reduction of 3,000 to 3,600 square meters of usable floor area for every 100,000 square meters!
III. Basic Structure of System B
1. Finish layer: coatings, finishing mortars, and flexible facing tiles, among others.
2. Finish coat: 3–5 mm thick crack-resistant mortar reinforced with alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh.
3. Fire-resistant leveling screed: 12 mm to 15 mm thick plastering mortar.
4. Insulation layer: Type IV panel.
5. Mortar bonding and leveling layer: 10–20 mm thick tiling mortar.
6. Base walls: concrete walls and various masonry walls.
7. Jointing: Fill and compact the joints with mortar, ensuring a 5–8 mm gap is fully filled.
8. Anchoring hardware: anchor bolts.
