Gypsum-specific interface agent
The gypsum‑specific interface agent is a water‑based treatment material meticulously formulated with a high‑performance synthetic resin emulsion as the base, combined with penetrating additives, film‑forming agents, stabilizers, and other refined components. It is specially designed for interface treatment between gypsum‑based materials—such as lightweight plastering gypsum, gypsum putty, and gypsum board—and substrates like concrete and cement mortar, effectively enhancing interfacial bond strength while preventing hollowing, delamination, and powdering. It is an essential complementary product for the installation of gypsum‑based systems.
Performance Metrics
Appearance: Uniform milky-white liquid, with no layering or sediment.
Solid content: ≥15%
Workability: Smooth application by brushing or rolling, with no sagging or bubbling.
Drying time: surface dry ≤ 30 min, fully dry ≤ 2 h
Interfacial bond strength: ≥0.5 MPa (with the substrate + gypsum material)
Alkali resistance: No abnormalities after 48 hours.
Dilution stability: Pass
Storage stability: No layering or precipitation for 6 months.
Scope of Application
Interface treatment for smooth substrates such as concrete shear walls, floor slabs, beams, and columns.
Interface treatment prior to plastering with gypsum on cement-sand mortar walls and aerated concrete block walls.
Surface reinforcement and roughening of the substrate prior to the application of lightweight plaster gypsum and gypsum putty.
Renovation of existing wall surfaces, removal of powdery substrate, and reinforcement of loose areas.
Joint treatment and substrate interface enhancement for gypsum boards and lightweight partition panels.
Product Advantages
Strong penetration and reinforcement: It can penetrate deep into the substrate, consolidate loose layers, and prevent dusting and sand loss.
Excellent texturing effect: Increases surface roughness, significantly enhancing the bond strength between gypsum materials and the substrate, thereby preventing hollowing and delamination.
Wide compatibility: It is suitable for a variety of substrates, including concrete, cement mortar, aerated concrete blocks, and gypsum board, and is fully compatible with all types of gypsum-based materials.
Easy to apply: Water-based formulation—ready to use straight from the bucket, can be diluted and adjusted, delivers high application efficiency, and dries quickly.
Eco-friendly: Free of formaldehyde and benzene-series compounds, low in VOCs, non-toxic and odorless, ensuring safe and environmentally responsible indoor application.
High cost-effectiveness: Economical in用量, low in cost, effectively reducing the risk of hollowing and cracking in gypsum systems and minimizing subsequent repair and rework.
Instructions for Use
Substrate Preparation: The substrate must be solid, clean, and dry, free of loose dust, oil stains, release agents, and delamination. Areas that are powdery or loosely bonded must be removed in advance and properly reinforced.
Product Dilution: Depending on the substrate conditions, dilute with water according to the product instructions (typically at a ratio of 1:1 to 1:3), and apply after thorough mixing.
Application method: Apply by roller, brush, or spray, ensuring uniform coverage of the substrate; avoid undercoating and sagging.
Drying and curing: After application, allow the surface to dry naturally for 2–4 hours. Only proceed with gypsum plastering or putty application once the primer has fully dried and a transparent film has formed.
Construction conditions: Ambient temperature 5°C to 35°C; relative humidity ≤85%. Construction is prohibited in rainy weather, during strong winds, or in low-temperature conditions.
