Gypsum-specific interface agent
Gypsum-specific interface agent is a water-based surface treatment material formulated with a high-performance synthetic resin emulsion as the base, combined with penetrating additives, film-forming aids, stabilizers, and other refined ingredients. It is specifically designed for interface treatment between gypsum-based materials—such as lightweight plastering gypsum, gypsum putty, and gypsum board—and substrates like concrete and cement mortar, effectively enhancing interfacial bond strength and preventing hollowing, delamination, and powdering. It is an essential complementary material for the construction of gypsum-based systems.
Performance Metrics
Appearance: Uniform milky-white liquid, with no layering or sediment.
Solid content: ≥15%
Workability: Smooth brushing and rolling, with no sagging or bubbling.
Drying time: surface dry ≤30 min, fully dry ≤2 h
Interface bond strength: ≥0.5 MPa (to the substrate + gypsum material)
Alkali resistance: No abnormalities after 48 hours.
Dilution stability: Qualified
Storage Stability: No layering or precipitation for 6 months
Scope of Application
Interface treatment for smooth substrates such as concrete shear walls, roof slabs, beams, and columns.
Surface preparation of cement-sand mortar walls and aerated concrete block walls prior to plastering with gypsum-based plaster.
Surface reinforcement and roughening treatment of the substrate prior to the application of lightweight plaster gypsum and gypsum putty.
Renovation of existing wall surfaces, treatment of powdering and loose areas in the substrate, and reinforcement of such sections.
Joint treatment and substrate interface reinforcement for gypsum boards and lightweight partition panels.
Product Advantages
Strong penetration and reinforcement: It can penetrate deep into the substrate, consolidating loose layers and preventing dusting and sand loss.
Excellent roughening effect: increases surface roughness, significantly enhances the bond strength between gypsum-based materials and the substrate, and effectively prevents hollowing and detachment.
Wide compatibility: Adapts to a variety of substrates, including concrete, cement mortar, aerated concrete blocks, and gypsum board, and is perfectly compatible with all types of gypsum-based materials.
Convenient application: Water-based formulation—ready to use straight from the bucket, easily diluted and adjusted, high application efficiency, and fast drying.
Eco-friendly and green: formaldehyde-free, benzene-series-compound-free, low-VOC, non-toxic and odorless, ensuring safe and environmentally friendly indoor application.
High cost-effectiveness: low consumption and low cost, effectively reducing the risk of hollowing and cracking in gypsum systems and minimizing subsequent repair and rework.
How to Use
Substrate Preparation: The substrate must be solid, clean, and dry, free of loose dust, oil stains, release agents, and delamination; any powdery or loose areas must be removed and reinforced in advance.
Product dilution: Depending on the condition of the substrate, dilute with water according to the product instructions (typically at a ratio of 1:1 to 1:3), and apply after thorough mixing.
Application method: Roll coating, brush coating, or spray coating may be used; ensure uniform coverage of the substrate, with no areas left uncoated or excessive sagging.
Drying and Curing: After construction, allow the surface to dry naturally for 2–4 hours. Only after the primer has completely dried and formed a transparent film may gypsum plastering or putty application proceed.
Construction Environment: Construction temperature shall be between 5°C and 35°C, with relative humidity not exceeding 85%. Construction is prohibited in rainy weather, strong winds, or low-temperature conditions.
