Gypsum putty
Interior wall gypsum putty is a specialized leveling compound formulated with building gypsum as the primary binder, combined with carefully selected fillers, redispersible latex powder, and functional additives. It is precisely proportioned and pre-mixed at the factory for on-site application. The product appears as a white dry powder that can be mixed with water directly on site. Designed specifically for leveling, straightening, and fine sanding of interior walls and ceilings, it can be applied directly to substrates such as concrete, cement mortar, and lightweight plaster gypsum, making it a core leveling material in interior finishing.
Performance Metrics
Appearance: Uniform white powder, free of agglomerates.
Fineness: ≤150 μm, pass rate ≥99%
Initial setting time: ≥60 min
Final setting time: ≤480 min
Tensile bond strength: ≥0.3 MPa
Compressive strength: ≥2.5 MPa
Flexural strength: ≥1.0 MPa
Scope of Application
Leveling of interior concrete walls, plastered walls, and lightweight gypsum plaster substrates.
Fine leveling and sanding of interior ceilings, ceiling panels, and beam surfaces.
Straightening interior wall internal and external corners, patching holes, and leveling cracks.
Leveling the substrate prior to applying finishes such as latex paint, wallpaper, and diatomaceous earth plaster.
Renovation of existing walls, localized repairs, and correction of surface flatness.
Product Advantages
Excellent leveling performance: easy to apply and sand, it effortlessly corrects wall flatness, providing a flawless substrate for subsequent finish‑coat applications.
Strong adhesion with no cracking: Formulated with a gypsum base, it exhibits excellent bonding to various interior wall substrates and is resistant to hollowing, flaking, and cracking.
High construction efficiency: excellent workability, smooth application and troweling, no sagging, minimal dust on the floor, significantly boosting productivity.
Eco-friendly: Free of formaldehyde and benzene-series compounds, non‑toxic and odorless; during installation and use, it releases no harmful substances, making it ideal for long‑term indoor living environments.
Mold and Moisture Resistance: Gypsum-based materials naturally absorb and release moisture, helping to regulate indoor humidity and reducing the risk of mold growth and dampness on walls.
Strong compatibility: It seamlessly integrates with a wide range of interior wall finishes, including latex paint, wallpaper, diatomaceous earth, and decorative coatings, ensuring system stability and long-lasting performance.
Instructions for Use
1. Substrate Preparation: The substrate shall be solid, dry, and smooth, free of loose dust, oil stains, and release agents; the moisture content of the substrate shall not exceed 10%.
2. Putty preparation: Add water according to the recommended powder-to-water ratio (typically around 1:0.4), mix thoroughly with an electric mixer, let stand for 3–5 minutes, then stir again before use.
3. Troweling Application: First coat: Apply a thin base coat, with a thickness of approximately 1–2 mm, ensuring strong adhesion to the substrate. Second coat: After the first coat has fully dried, apply a second coat, also about 1–2 mm thick, with a total thickness not exceeding 3 mm.
4. Sanding: Once the putty is completely dry, sand it with sandpaper or a sander to ensure a smooth, even surface, and then remove any loose dust.
5. Construction Environment: Apply at temperatures between 5°C and 35°C, avoiding areas with excessive ventilation, direct sunlight, or high humidity.
